Historic Thompson Park features a creative playground for children of all ages. The playground has spinners, swings, climbing structures, slides and sensory panels. They playground can be enjoyed year round. The playground has a natural appearance to stay cohesive with the park.
Splash Pad & Pool is now CLOSED for the season!
The Thompson Park Pool and Splash Pad are the perfect places to cool off and enjoy in the summer.
Open from 12 pm to 7 pm seven days a week. Holidays may vary. Pool is free of charge. Children 13 years of age & younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. In case of pool time changes or severe weather, please call 315-785-7775 in advance if in doubt.

With entrances from Park Circle, Gotham Street or Franklin Street, each drive has incredible scenic views. There are multiple exercise trails throughout the park as well.
Thompson Park is the perfect place to enjoy whether you are on a lunch break, walking your dog, or out enjoying nature.
Located next to what is known as Kite Hill, the tennis courts (2) are surrounded by the greenery of the park which makes for a great view while enjoying the game.
The soccer field at Thompson Park is located next to the pool. It is a flat open space perfect for practice or a game.
There are several stone pavilions and stairways within Thompson Park. The original architecture combined with the scenery of the park is what makes Thompson park so unique.
Built in 2016, in the Tower Square, the Honor the Mountain Monument is a symbol of the North Country community’s eternal gratitude for the service of the 10th Mountain Division’s Soldiers, based at Fort Drum.
In the winter months, many of the trails within the park are used as cross-country ski trails. You can find all the trails within Thompson Park on All Trails, click the link below to see!
There are several areas of Thompson Park that the community has used as sledding areas. Kite Hill turns into the perfect Sled Hill in the winter months.
